Bee Digital sponsors #EduFootyAid
We're very proud to sponsor EduFootyAid, a series of teacher-led football matches across the UK, to raise money to support teachers with mental health issues.
On the 8th June, we sponsored the Midlands teams triumphant win against the South team. The Midlands team won 4-0 in a game to rival the Champions League heroics of this season.
In a competitive game, goals came from Kevin Sandwith, opening with a blistering strike from outside the box before Dion Graham doubled the lead in the dying seconds of the half. A quiet start to the second half was broken when Dion scored his second of the game on 65 minutes. The final goal came from Midlands Captain Fantastic, Lee James with a late penalty, almost saved by the South's second half keeper Chris Klein.
We also sponsored the Player of the Match Award which was earned by the South's defensive powerhouse, centre-back, Tom Buksztel. Efficient in the tackle and comfortable in possession, he was unlucky to be on the wrong side of the result. Honourable mentions go to, Midland's Winger Sam Griffiths who terrorised the South's defense with his powerful running on and off the ball, and Sam Stewart, his calm demeanour on the ball and control ensured he shone in the centre of the pitch.
All players celebrated this fantastic game with a free round courtesy of us!
To top this fantastic game off, our own CEO, Bryan Plumb was presented by a sponsored shirt by Sam de Lange.
Bryan said; "We're so delighted to support this fantastic initiative that supports mental health and wellbeing within the teaching sector. The incredible turnout and money raised goes to show how important EduFootyAid is. We look forward to promoting more of the work 2Simple and EduFootyAid does going forward!"
